From Launch Complex 40, at 8:45 pm atop a Falcon 9 rocket

For the first Space Coast launch of the year it was an Indonesian geostationary communications satellite built by SSL (Space Systems/Loral). named PSN VI the satellite will provide service throughout South East Asia and includes the High Throughput Satellite. This is the first private satellite telecommunications company in Indonesia and a leading Asian provider of full range satellite based telecommunication services.

Providing launch capabilities for this mission is the company SpaceX. Standing for Space Exploration Technologies Corp, SpaceX is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transport company headquartered in Hawthorne California. FOunded by entrepreneur Elon Musk in 2002 withe the goal of reducing space transportation costs and to eventually colonize the planet Mars.

Using their block 5 version of the Falcon 9 rocket this will be booster 1048, the third ever block 5 version to fly, and the second block 5 booster to fly twice. The first stage booster will land on the ASDS barge "OF Course I Still Love You"
